michael allyn wells ~defending poetry in american culture
Short and sweet. I just finished writing a piece called "The Living" it's not too ris-kay if you wanna give it a read. I'd be honored. It really is inspirational to know your art is being read. It's not like I could stop writing, words will keep pouring over the levee whether or not the readership is there. Unstoppable.
I like this one. Melancholic.
Sapphire - I'll have to check yours out today. Thanks for taking the time to stop by Stick Poet and comment. I do know what you mean about being unable to stop. We write to an audience, we write in a vacuum, we write to ourselves. It matters not, when you get right down to it. Yes, it's more enjoyable to feel that the purpose is larger than ourselves, but far be it for me to stop just for want of an audience.Ivy - yes, I have a knack for the melancholy I suppose. Glad you liked it. It is always nice to be able to get your dog to collaborate with you in your artistic endeavors.
