The Letter
The nights are cold without you.
The days much too long.
Distance is measured
by lustful thoughts-
I cannot help.
I send this not to guilt you
but because my lips can reach you
no other way.
I have sealed the envelope
with the dampness of my tongue in hope-
and the stamp a breath & kiss.

what a wonderful love letter!
Lovely words, full of emotion!
Delicious...
So full of longing...beautiful
Nice feel to this, Michael; very late 19th century romantic; liked the closing verse; but did you intend to write /with the dampness "of" my tongue in hope/; if not, I still dig it; thanks.
This is lovely!
I do believe their love is sealed! Yes, nicely felt!
Michael, Michael ... this is perfect.
Anyone would be happy to be on the receiving end of this!
=)
A letter most definitely laced with love & longing. I love it!
