Yeats was truly masterful at transforming words to mood. His writing so lyrical. He is one of those few people who I believe can make you fall in love with the words themselves.

Night Wishes

So quiet this house,
the night.

The two entwined,
inseparable.

I, on the other hand,
sit, like an extra.

An uninvited witness
to their cozy bond,
wishing she were home,
and I the night.
